The Gemeentelijk Gymnasium Hilversum (which translates as Municipal Grammar School), founded in 1913, offers the highest level of pre-university education available in The Netherlands. We seek to provide an inspiring and stimulating environment for young people with an above average intellectual curiosity. Emphasis is put on the study of Greek and Latin as a means to stimulate logical, creative and ethical thinking, and on science education. Furthermore, the extensive cultural programme and the addition of Chinese to the curriculum as well as the possibility to obtain certificates in English, German and French are instrumental in preparing students for future studies.
