Margarida Vaz

Margarida ([birthday day=”09.05.1997″]) participated in the Lisbon Workshop in 2014. She goes to Escola Secundária de Camões and is interested in cinema, art, literature, history, ecology, physics, sociology, music and martial arts. Although Margarida does not know yet what she wants to do in the future, she is sure that she would like to work in a field that allowed her to do some research in a large range of topics. She would like to travel and talk with different people in her job.

For me, “My Europe” is…

…a place where education, wealth and citizenship are balanced and reach everybody.

If you could, what would be the first thing you would change in Europe?

I would change education because it influences directly the future, and the way we face life and our problems, as is also the best way to promote equality and social justice. I think that it is very important to encourage young people to value curiosity, creativity, knowledge and culture, instead of thinking of learning just in order to get a job.
