Prof. Luciano Segreto

Luciano Segreto is Professor of Economic History of Globalization at the University of Florence; Professor of Comparative Business History at the Bocconi University in Milan, and professor of Corporate Governance Models at the Gdansk University of Technology. He is the also the Chairman of the Linguistic Centre of the University of Florence, and the responsible for the international exchange programs and the Erasmus program for the School of Political Science of the same university. His research interests are in family capitalism and international economic history. In 2012, the Italian Society of Contemporary History has awarded his book, Storia di una dinastia imprenditoriale (1854-1942), Feltrinelli, Milan, 2011, as the «Book of the Year». For many years, he was the Chairman of the Cultural Memory Council of the International Centre for Corporate Culture and History (Frankfurt). Nowadays he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme d’Aquitaine (Bordeaux). He is a Member of the Scientific Board of the Italian journal «Studi Storici», the Spanish journal «Revista de Historia Industrial y Empresarial», and he is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal «Passato e Presente».
