Climate change is one of the most threatening issues of our time, with far-reaching consequences. In many places, the rise of sea levels and changes in temperature changes have affected humans and put ecosystems out of balance. Climate change refugees will be one of the biggest challenges in the twenty-first century.

In 2015, a roadmap has been developed for tackling climate change, the Paris Agreement! With the withdrawal of the US of those agreements in 2017, these efforts have been undermined and change is not happening fast enough. The aim of this working group is to closely follow the steps taken by different countries agreed in the Paris Agreement and put pressure on governments to really stick to their promises.

We want to discuss the roles of science, policy-makers, technology and of course finance to help countries pursue low-emission development and boost their capacity to adapt and be resilient to climate change. In addition, we want to discuss the development of new finance models to accelerate the transition to a green economy.
