Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you all here today to the European Conference 2030. My name is Chloe Mc Donnell and I will be speaking to you about the positives that have come out of the year so far.

This year has been a big year for Europe. Not only has education gotten better, but more people are taking a third level education also. There has been an average rise of 28% more students in college in the past decade, especially in science and medicine, making me wonder; why is there a sudden interest in college?

I believe that the rise in college students could be due to the new advances in science recently. Back in 2018, scientist Pierre Chambon came up with a procedure he believed he could use to safely clone humans. Unlike the cloning we heard of back in 1996 with our first clone, Dolly the sheep, this procedure is 100% safe on humans and easily done. After 12 years and very generous funding from you all here today, Chambon has finally safely cloned his first human. Not only is this a great scientific discovery, but it will bring lots of attention to Europe too.

The year 2030 marks the 10 year anniversary of Compete European Peace. Ten years ago, European Peace was declared after Germany and France ended their three-year war. On 6 May 2020, a document was signed by both of the countries, stating that they were finally at peace with each other. That was a big stepping stone in European history, which I am proud to say I witnessed.

I am very happy to announce the arrival of new countries to the European Union this year also. After many years of trying, the countries Brazil, Norway, Turkey and the Ukraine have finally been accepted and have joined us in the EU. I would like to welcome them here today and wish them the best of luck in the future with us. I am sure everyone else here does also.

There has been a drastic rise in employment in the past year due to the new funding schemes we have set up. Now, over 25 million people in East Europe alone have received a job with the help of our funding. Over 300 million Euros was raised last year by you all here today for the great programme. Because of you, millions of people are out of poverty and have stable jobs in areas like IT, teaching and medicine.

Of course, not all goals have been completed. Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament 2012 said “We will see a further improvement in the small- and mid-sized companies.” The public are still waiting to see this improvement – almost 20 years later. I strongly believe that we are able to achieve this and live out what our previous successor wished for. It will be put on the top of the agenda for 2031 and hopefully achieved by 2035. We have also not completely abolished poverty, like we so wished. Although there have been improvements, our plan since the start of this century was to have a world without poverty by 2030. I believe that at the rate we are going at, we could get rid of poverty completely by 2050 and live in a world without upper and lower class, with everyone as equals. In order to do this, we all need to work together in harmony like we have been in the previous years.

Finally, our biggest achievement of the year; manmade oil. For many years, the world was under the impression that we would not be using oil this far into the future as we used too much of it. After many years of trying to conserve oil, European scientists have come up with a way to create our own oil. This idea was rejected by many companies and failed many times in the trial days, but finally, we have managed to create our oil so that oil will never run out. This oil is also safe for the environment as we hoped. This is a huge turning point in history as we now never have to worry about using ‘too much’ oil or worrying it will run out. This new oil will become available to the public sometime in the next two years, which I myself am very excited for. I hope you are all as anticipated as I am.

I thank you all for coming here today and wish you the best in the upcoming year. I am sure you are all as proud of our achievements as I am. I hope to see you all again for our next conference in 2031. Thank you for listening and goodbye.
